Taxes are due on an annual basis. They are mailed to residents in early August and are due by October 31. Payments received after 10/31 are considered delinquent and are subject to interest and penalty.

Homestead Declarations: Vermont resident taxpayers are required to file a Homestead Declaration every year, on or before April 15. See forms HS-122 and HI-144.

Current Use Tax Incentive: This program is available to owners of agricultural and forestry land. Eligible landowners can apply to have their land appraised at the current use, rather than fair market value.
